Cookies and the consent record
A cookie is a small file a site asks your browser to keep and send back later. This site uses a different, local record for your banner choice. The explanation below covers both, so you can see what is present and what is not. The privacy notice is on the privacy page.
Types
Essential storage is what a site needs to remember a choice you just made, such as whether the banner should stay closed. Analytics cookies would measure visits. Advertising cookies would follow you across sites. We do not set analytics cookies or advertising cookies, whether you accept or reject the banner. Rejecting does not close any page, form, or briefing.
What this site stores
When you press Accept or Reject, the page writes a record in local storage on your browser under the key thinkripple-cookie-consent. It holds the choice and the time you made it. It is not sent to our server with each page. It expires in this script after twelve months, and you can remove it sooner by clearing site data.

Third parties
Pages load typefaces from Google Fonts. That request goes to Google and is subject to Google's own policies. We do not add an analytics tag, an advertising pixel, or an embedded map. We do not ask those parties to set a cookie on our behalf. If our website host keeps a security log, that log is a server record, not a cookie in your browser.
How to manage or disable storage
Use the Reject button on the banner if you do not want the consent record kept. To remove a record already written, clear local storage or site data for thinkripple.click in your browser settings. Browser controls for cookies still matter for other sites you visit. Blocking all storage may stop the banner from remembering your choice, so it can appear again on a later visit. The briefings, the form, and the journal remain available.
Impact of rejecting
Rejecting stores the rejection and hides the banner. It does not limit the site. Accepting stores the acceptance and hides the banner. Neither choice turns on a measurement tool, because none is installed.
